Alpena Visit

Our Alpena visit is coming up on September 26th.

Details:
  • Dinner costs $12. Contact Princess Royal PQ Nancy for tickets and to pay.
  • The social hour starts at 5 pm; the meeting is at 6 pm; and the dinner is at 7 pm.
  • There will be drawings for door prizes like previous years.
  • There will be a silent auction.
  • We're staying at the Holiday Inn Express on Saturday night.  We usually meet for breakfast around 9:30 or 10 on Sunday.
I'm pretty certain that Nancy and Ellen F. will be bringing their truck/van and can help transport the hospital items back to Saginaw.

It's always lots of fun.  I hope to see as many of the membership as possible in Alpena!

HandChime Unit

I have done some initial research on starting a Handchime unit as far as costs and equipment needed for a small unit.  I will bring that information to our next stated session.

If anyone would like to hear what the music would sound like please go here, scroll to the bottom of the page, and choose any of the songs listed in the center section labeled MelodyChime® Instruments.

I also ordered a fundraising CD which I hope to have by the October stated session.  I will donate this CD to the Temple, as it will be a great tool for us as a whole for any fundraising that we may need to do in the future.

This is a handchime:

Supreme Queen Visit

Ladies of the household, fall is just around the corner and I can not believe summer is almost gone. I want to thank every one of our officers, Past Queens and ladies of the household for making our Supreme Queen visit so successful. Supreme Queen Vesta Marshall is such a wonderful and gracious lady and we all want to wish her well in her travels, and a safe and successful year.

I want to welcome our new members Karen Wellman and Allie Wellman to Makere Temple.

I am sure everyone knows Karen is my daughter and Allie is my granddaughter. Thank you for making them feel so welcome. I know they look forward to attending the sessions and working for the good of the children as we all do.

Thanks to all that attended our summer picnic in July. We had 24 members along with some family members who enjoyed the good food and fellowship.
